What You Will Do Disney Entertainment's Technology Legal Group is seeking an experienced attorney to become part of its Technology Legal Group, handling technology transactions and counseling matters for Disney and its affiliates worldwide, as well as supporting and counseling our clients on matters related to technology and technological innovation. Structuring, negotiating and drafting technology and related business agreements. Collaborating with other legal colleagues on associated artificial intelligence, intellectual property, privacy, security and other issues. Working independently most of the time, and with more experienced attorneys with respect to complex matters and high-risk transactions. Helping shape the strategic decisions of our more experienced attorneys and our clients, and serving as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Required Qualifications & Skills At least six years of experience in structuring and documenting complex technology transactions (including cloud-based and software development transactions). Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, including senior level executives. Ability to work effectively and multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining a sense of humor and treating colleagues at all levels with respect. Preferred Qualifications In-house corporate legal department experience. Technical experience is highly desirable. Experience handling networking and telecommunications agreements preferred. Education JD or equivalent Admission to California State Bar in good standing or willingness and qualification to be Registered In-House Counsel The hiring range for this position in Greater Los Angeles Area is $171,900 to $222,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

This role sits out of our Orlando, FL offices and this person will be required to be on site a minimum of 4x/week About the Role & Team The Walt Disney World Litigation Department provides legal advice to Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts U.S., Inc. and Disney Cruise Line regarding a wide range of lawsuits and other legal issues. This Paralegal will principally manage various litigation-related and adjacent administrative tasks. "Are you interested? We encourage you to apply!" What You Will Do Evaluate new lawsuits, supervising document retention and coordinating case assignments. Support in revising written discovery and pleadings for accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with outside counsel and internal business areas to gather documents and information to meet court deadlines. Support in the preparation, assistance, monitoring, and reporting on trials. Draft case correspondence. Attend to administrative responsibilities of the Department. Manage case calendars and deadlines. Coordinate company responses to third-party subpoenas. May facilitate company responses to court ordered legal processes such as UCC liens and employee wage garnishments May coordinate company responses to consumer and government agency correspondence. May review and respond to consumer letters regarding intellectual property. Required Qualifications & Skills 2+ years' experience in a law firm or in-house legal department focused on litigation; Preference will be given to candidates with experience providing paralegal services in personal injury litigation. Excellent communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Ability to perform efficiently in fast paced environment. Ability to effectively interact with various levels of the corporation. Ability to manage and coordinate case calendars and meet deadlines. Education A Bachelor's Degree and/or qualifications to be a paralegal by certification or education and work experience as set forth by the American Bar Association and/or any applicable state codes.
