This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment. Responsible for keeping the equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; performing repairs when needed. This position typically works from 7:00pm- 7:00am Sunday thru Thursday. Generally the first 90 days of employment the selected candidate will be working morning shift. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of fixed electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, systems and machinery. This entails inspecting the premises, performing routine maintenance and fixing any faulty wiring. Replacing electrical appliances is necessary, so the ability to read blueprints and abide by the National Electric Code is essential. Perform high voltage switching and operate generators in support of operations. Work safely and cooperatively with co-workers and the public. This position typically works from 6:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Overtime will be required and shift may be adjusted for business needs. The Diesel Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment through comprehensive maintenance and repair tasks. This position requires a solid understanding of essential equipment maintenance, including the ability to run and interpret diagnostic tests, troubleshoot Kenworth machinery, inspect disc braking systems, and assess vehicle lighting systems.
