Welder 1

PrideStaff is looking for Welder 1 for a well-known manufacturing company in Escalon, CA!

The Welder 1 is responsible for tasks traditionally associated with the welding trade at a basic level in order to support the organization's production requirements. Responsible for participating, supporting, and maintaining compliance to the Company's quality, environmental and occupational health & safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities as defined by the Company. Position responsibilities do not include direct communications with employees, customers, or representatives.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Able to pass a fillet weld test.
• Familiar with the machine controls involved in completing a task on a particular machine.
• Able to use minor machines (., overhead crane, fork lift, hydraulic press).
• Ability to identify an acceptable weld.
• Produces consistent weld quality by hand.
• Able to correctly load weld fixtures and complete all hand welds.
• Follows defined objectives set by the Foreman with supervision.
• Able to setup fixtures and welders with supervision.
• Able to recognize a suspected problem within a particular process and alert the supervisor.
• Possesses a basic knowledge of fabrication drawings.

Qualification Include the Following:

• Recent, relevant experience within the past 12 months
• Certification preferred, but not required
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 50+ pounds consistently
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to show proof of eligibility to work in the .
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
Pay Range varies depending on experience: $20/HR-$23/HR
