Helper Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist mechanics in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicles.
- Organize and maintain tools, equipment, and workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Deliver tools, parts, and equipment to mechanics as needed.
- Clean and lubricate parts and components.
- Perform basic diagnostics and report findings to senior mechanics.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Help in the alignment and adjustment of vehicle systems.
- Replace worn or defective vehicle parts under supervision.
- Assist in the removal and installation of vehicle parts and systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Helper Qualifications & Skills
- Basic understanding of vehicle systems and components.
- Previous experience in an automotive repair setting.
- Familiarity with automotive tools and equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Basic mechanical skills and knowledge.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Must possess their own tools or be able to acquire them
