What You ll Do

• Perform routine and specialized Blood Bank compatibility testing.
• Process specimens and complete ABO/Rh and antibody screening and identification.
• Perform antibody typing using the tube method.
• Complete immediate-spin/IgG and electronic crossmatches.
• Perform indirect Coombs testing.
• Prepare blood components for transfusion.
• Support transfusion needs for pediatric and adult specialty services while floating between Methodist, University, and Riley locations.

What You Need
Required:

• ASCP-MLS certification.
• Medical Laboratory Scientist qualifications applicable to Blood Bank laboratory work.
• Ability to perform specimen processing, compatibility testing, antibody identification, crossmatching, and indirect Coombs testing.
• Availability for night shift, every other weekend, and one holiday if required during the assignment.
• Ability to float between Methodist, University, and Riley locations.
• MLT candidates are not eligible for this position.

Preferred:

• ASCP-BB certification.

About the Assignment
Work with the Blood Bank laboratory at a leading facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. The laboratory performs routine and specialized compatibility testing and prepares blood components to support transfusion services for pediatric and adult specialty care.
