Realty Asset Management, Inc. is a dynamic and rapidly expanding commercial property management company dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients and tenants. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Leasing Agent to join our team and support our financial operations.

Job Summary

As a Residential Leasing Agent, you will serve as the face of our community-marketing available units, conducting property tours, qualifying applicants, closing leases, and fostering positive resident relationships to support renewals and referrals. This role combines sales, customer service, and administrative skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment where your performance directly impacts community success.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet prospective residents (via phone, email, walk-ins, and online inquiries) and provide professional, enthusiastic presentations of the property, amenities, floor plans, and surrounding neighborhood.

- Conduct personalized tours of model units, vacant apartments, and common areas while highlighting features and benefits to match prospect needs.

- Pre-screen applicants, process rental applications, verify income/employment/credit/references, and ensure compliance with fair housing laws and company policies.

- Prepare and execute lease agreements, collect security deposits, application fees, and first month's rent.

- Achieve or exceed monthly leasing goals, occupancy targets, and revenue objectives through proactive marketing and follow-up.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current rental rates, availability, market conditions, and competitive properties.

- Assist with resident retention efforts, including renewal communications, move-in/move-out coordination, and addressing resident concerns promptly.

- Keep accurate records in property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, or similar), update marketing logs, and ensure models/show units are pristine and ready for tours.

- Participate in outreach marketing (e.g., local events, social media promotion, apartment locator services) and "shop" competitors regularly.

- Uphold the highest standards of curb appeal, cleanliness, and professionalism at all times.

- Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.

- Previous experience in leasing, sales, customer service, hospitality, or property management is a plus-but we will train the right enthusiastic candidate!

- Strong sales and closing skills with a proven ability to meet quotas and build rapport quickly.

- Excellent verbal and written communication; outgoing, positive personality with a "can-do" attitude.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; experience with property management software is advantageous.

- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a dynamic environment.

- Knowledge of fair housing regulations and lease documentation preferred (training provided).

- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if required for outreach).

- Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends (common in leasing roles).

What We Offer

- Competitive base pay + uncapped leasing commissions and performance bonuses.

- Comprehensive benefits package (dental, vision, life, 401(k) with match, paid time off).

- Opportunities for advancement in property management.

- Ongoing training and professional development.

- Employee discounts on rent (if applicable) and team events.

- Supportive, collaborative team environment.
