Powder Coat: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM (10-hour shifts)Machine Operator: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMPay Rate: $23-$28/hour (DOE)
Job Summary
Milgard Windows & Doors is seeking Production Operators to support both Powder Coat and Machine Operation functions at our Fife, WA facility. These roles are responsible for operating equipment, ensuring product quality, and supporting efficient production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Operators play a key role in maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards while contributing to overall plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
Powder Coat Operators
Set up, operate, and adjust powder coating equipment and spray systemsLoad, unload, and position parts onto racks or conveyor systemsApply coatings according to specifications to ensure proper finish and coverageMonitor curing ovens, temperatures, and line speedsInspect coated products for defects, thickness, and consistencyPerform routine cleaning and basic equipment maintenanceMachine Operators
Set up and operate manufacturing equipment used in window and door productionMonitor machine performance and make minor adjustments as neededLoad materials and ensure proper alignment during production runsInspect finished components for accuracy and qualityPerform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenanceMaintain steady production flow while meeting quality standardsShared Responsibilities (All Operators)
Accurately document production and quality dataFollow all safety procedures, including PPE requirementsMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspaceCollaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to meet production goalsQualifications
High school diploma or GED preferredPrevious manufacturing experience preferred (powder coating experience is a plus for Powder Coat roles)Ability to read and follow work instructions and standard operating proceduresStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment (including heat, noise, and machinery)Skills & Competencies
