Quality Packaging Inc. values precision and dependability in every role, particularly for our Folder Gluer Machine Operator on the 1st shift. This position is crucial in ensuring the high standards of our packaging production are met, requiring careful setup, defect prevention, and efficient machine operation to satisfy customer demands and maintain smooth workflow.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate folder gluer machines (including DGM and Diana) according to job specifications with clean setups and minimal waste
- Accurately read and follow production tickets from start to finish
- Fold and glue products to exact customer specifications for each run
- Pack product by count, inspect for quality defects, and stage for shipping
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to minimize downtime
- Complete job tickets and recap forms accurately, ensuring precise documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tour-ready workspace daily
- Consistently achieve and sustain established machine production rates
- Collaborate effectively within a team-focused environment
Required Qualifications
- Basic to entry-level operator experience (starting pay $20-$23/hr)
- Experienced operators capable of setting up and running multiple jobs (up to $24-$28/hr)
- Ability to read rulers (standard and metric) and interpret PDF drawings
- Basic math skills applied daily
- Fine motor skills and steady hands for precise machine adjustments
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-noise manufacturing environment
- Team player with strong communication skills and a self-starter mindset
- High school diploma or GED required
