The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating LVD Press Brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate sheet metal and plate components according to specifications. Key Responsibilities Machine Operation & Production Set up and operate Press Brake machines in accordance with engineering drawings and work orders. Select and install appropriate tooling, punches, and dies for each job. Perform machine programming and adjust parameters such as bend sequence, pressure, and back gauge positions. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and part specifications to ensure precise bends and tolerances. Conduct first-article inspections and verify bend angles and dimensions during production. Handle materials safely, including loading and unloading sheets or plates using hoists or lifting equipment. Optimize bending sequences and minimize material waste through efficient setup and production planning. Quality Assurance Inspect parts using measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and templates to ensure they meet required specifications. Identify nonconforming parts or process deviations and take corrective actions immediately. Record production data accurately for traceability and continuous improvement efforts. Maintain high standards of workmanship and accuracy at all times. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform routine preventive maintenance on Press Brake machines, including cleaning machines, lubricating moving parts, and checking tooling condition. Diagnose and correct minor mechanical or hydraulic issues; escalate complex problems to maintenance or supervision. Report equipment malfunctions immediately to minimize downtime. Safety & Compliance Follow all safety protocols and always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area to support safe and efficient operations. Comply with Ameritex's policies and applicable standards, including ISO, OSHA, and ITAR regulations. Teamwork & Communication Work collaboratively with production team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding production concerns, tooling needs, or material shortages.
