Milgard Windows & Doors, part of the MITER Brands family, is seeking an experienced Extrusion Machine Operator to join our Vinyl Extrusion team on day shift. This role is ideal for skilled operators with 3-5+ years of experience who bring strong mechanical aptitude, hands on troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of continuous manufacturing processes.

You'll play a critical role in maintaining equipment performance, ensuring product quality, and supporting production efficiency in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

Operate and monitor 1-3 PVC extrusion lines to meet production, quality, and safety standardsPerform machine setups, tooling changes, adjustments, and troubleshootingSafely disassemble, clean, rebuild, and stage extrusion tooling using overhead cranesConduct in process inspections and take precise measurements using calipers and gaugesIdentify and resolve machine, material, or process issues in real timeComplete production documentation, including productivity reports, machine logs, bundle tickets, and work ordersAssist with packaging and forklift operations as neededMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areasComply with all safety requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures

What You Bring

3-5+ years of machine operation experience, preferably in extrusion or continuous manufacturingStrong knowledge of PVC extrusion or similar industrial processesProven mechanical and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, SOPs, and safety proceduresExperience performing quality checks and precision measurementsSolid math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages)Forklift experience required; certification preferredAbility to work independently while supporting team production goalsStrong communication skills and a safety first mindset

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and move throughout a 12 hour shiftAbility to lift and maneuver materials using proper equipment and assistanceComfortable working around industrial machinery
