Job Description

  • Represent employers, insurance carriers, and other clients in workers' compensation defense matters.
  • Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
  • Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and case evaluations.
  • Develop litigation strategies that achieve efficient and favorable outcomes.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and recommendations.
  • Conduct legal research and remain current on California workers' compensation laws.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to provide exceptional client service.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar license.
  • 1+ year of workers' compensation law experience.
  • Strong litigation, analytical, legal writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload.
  • California residency required.
  • Workers' compensation defense experience is highly preferred.
