Job Description
- Represent employers, insurance carriers, and other clients in workers' compensation defense matters.
- Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
- Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal correspondence, and case evaluations.
- Develop litigation strategies that achieve efficient and favorable outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and recommendations.
- Conduct legal research and remain current on California workers' compensation laws.
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to provide exceptional client service.
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license.
- 1+ year of workers' compensation law experience.
- Strong litigation, analytical, legal writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage a caseload.
- California residency required.
- Workers' compensation defense experience is highly preferred.
