Fiber Technician

We are currently looking for a few good fiber techs for service and installation. As a fiber contractor in this role, customer satisfaction is job number one; you will play a vital part in building and maintaining cutting-edge telecommunication networks. You will be responsible for installing, splicing, and troubleshooting fiber. Work in the fiber optic field is preferred but not required. This is a 1099 position. We will NOT consider anyone who is not legally authorized to work in the United States, or who fails a background or drug test.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic cables.
• Perform precise fiber splicing and testing.
• Conduct network installation, including cable routing, termination, and configuration of equipment.
• Use hand tools such as cable cutters, drills, strippers, and crimpers to prepare cables for splicing and connection.
• Operate testing devices.
• Work in the field performing service calls for fiber outages or upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime for the fiber members.
