Job Description Job Description We are currently looking for a few good fiber techs for service and installation. As a fiber contractor in this role, customer satisfaction is job number one; you will play a vital part in building and maintaining cutting-edge telecommunication networks. You will be responsible for installing, splicing, and troubleshooting fiber. Work in the fiber optic field is preferred but not required. This is a 1099 position. We will NOT consider anyone who is not legally authorized to work in the United States, or who fails a background or drug test. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic cables. Perform precise fiber splicing and testing. Conduct network installation, including cable routing, termination, and configuration of equipment. Use hand tools such as cable cutters, drills, strippers, and crimpers to prepare cables for splicing and connection. Operate testing devices. Work in the field performing service calls for fiber outages or upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime for the fiber members.
