We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching swimming and ensuring the safety of all participants. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swim instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels, while promoting water safety and enjoyment.
Duties
- Conduct swim lessons for various age groups and skill levels, ensuring that each participant receives personalized attention and instruction.
- Develop lesson plans that cater to the needs of individual students, focusing on technique, safety, and confidence in the water.
- Monitor participants during lessons to ensure safety protocols are followed and provide immediate assistance when necessary.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed, maintaining a safe atmosphere for all swimmers.
- Engage with parents or guardians to discuss progress and address any concerns regarding their child's swimming abilities.
- Collaborate with other staff members to organize swim events or competitions that encourage community involvement.
Qualifications
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; Lifeguard certification is required.
- Previous experience in swim instruction or related guest services is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of pool maintenance practices and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages.
- A patient and encouraging demeanor that fosters a positive learning environment.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
