Job Description Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching swimming and ensuring the safety of all participants. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swim instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels, while promoting water safety and enjoyment. Duties Conduct swim lessons for various age groups and skill levels, ensuring that each participant receives personalized attention and instruction. Develop lesson plans that cater to the needs of individual students, focusing on technique, safety, and confidence in the water. Monitor participants during lessons to ensure safety protocols are followed and provide immediate assistance when necessary. Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed, maintaining a safe atmosphere for all swimmers. Engage with parents or guardians to discuss progress and address any concerns regarding their child's swimming abilities. Collaborate with other staff members to organize swim events or competitions that encourage community involvement. Qualifications Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; Lifeguard certification is required. Previous experience in swim instruction or related guest services is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of pool maintenance practices and safety regulations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages. A patient and encouraging demeanor that fosters a positive learning environment. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
