Our organization is in search of a committed Assistant Director of Patient Care for the Cardio Thoracic ICU/Cardiovascular ICU Department at the New Brunswick facility.

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in ICU nursing is essential

Preferred:

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is highly desirable
• Previous leadership experience is advantageous
• Experience with patients undergoing Cardiac and Vascular Surgery is preferred
• CCRN certification is a plus

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey is necessary

• Day shift, 40 hours per week
• Full-time position
• On-call leadership coverage is required

• Provide leadership and guidance to achieve the unit's and organization's goals and objectives.
• Communicate effectively with staff, manage resources, and oversee services.
• Assist the Director in the daily operations of the unit and take on delegated tasks.
• Responsible for 50% of patient care duties.
• Collaboratively develop and maintain staff schedules and payroll.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure accountability among staff.
