Job Overview Our organization is in search of a committed Assistant Director of Patient Care for the Cardio Thoracic ICU/Cardiovascular ICU Department at the New Brunswick facility. Qualifications Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory A minimum of 3 years of experience in ICU nursing is essential Preferred: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is highly desirable Previous leadership experience is advantageous Experience with patients undergoing Cardiac and Vascular Surgery is preferred CCRN certification is a plus Certifications and Licenses Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey is necessary Scheduling Requirements Day shift, 40 hours per week Full-time position On-call leadership coverage is required Essential Functions Provide leadership and guidance to achieve the unit's and organization's goals and objectives. Communicate effectively with staff, manage resources, and oversee services. Assist the Director in the daily operations of the unit and take on delegated tasks. Responsible for 50% of patient care duties. Collaboratively develop and maintain staff schedules and payroll. Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure accountability among staff.
