UMass Memorial Medical Group seeks a dedicated and compassionate Academic Newborn Hospitalist to join our growing team. Our competitive compensation and benefits package places us as your top choice in the region.

  • Provide comprehensive medical care for infants in a 22-bed Continuing Care Nursery (CCN) within a 49-bed Level III NICU at UMass Memorial Medical Center, as well as a 28-bed postpartum unit and 12-bed Level 1B Special Care Nursery at Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham, MA.
  • Attend high-risk deliveries as part of a multidisciplinary team with neonatology support and collaboration.
  • Perform neonatal procedures including intubation, central line placement, lumbar puncture, and thoracentesis.
  • Conduct inpatient antenatal consultations addressing prematurity, neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome (NOWS), and maternal medical conditions impacting neonatal care.
  • Provide bedside teaching and mentorship to medical trainees including medical students, residents, and advanced practice providers.
