This role exists to support growing aerospace production demand across precision turning operations. At Barnes Aerospace, this position plays a key role in machining forged aerospace components to tight tolerances for long-term commercial and defense programs.

The Work You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Set up and operate CNC turning centers in a production environment
  • Run multiple machines within a machining cell when feasible
  • Machine aerospace forgings and components to tight tolerances ( .001")
  • Read and interpret blueprints, tool setup sheets, and operation instructions
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspection using precision tools
  • Load and unload parts manually or using hoists
  • Adjust offsets, replace tooling, and troubleshoot machining issues
  • Maintain quality and safety standards throughout production

Machines, Controls & Software

  • Machines: Mazak, Okuma, Doosan, Mori Seiki turning centers
  • Controls: Fanuc
  • Inspection Tools: Micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, profilometers

Materials You'll Work With

  • Inconel
  • Titanium
  • Stainless Steel
  • Aluminum

What We're Looking ForRequired:

  • 3+ years CNC turning experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
  • Experience with setups, offsets, and tool changes
  • Comfortable holding tight tolerances
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail

Preferred:

  • Aerospace machining experience
  • Multi-machine / cell experience
  • Fanuc control familiarity

Pay, Benefits & Schedule

Pay Range: $28 - $38/hr (DOE)
