Required Skills:
  • Valid LVN or LPN license in the state of employment
  • Proven experience with resident care in a long-term or skilled nursing facility
  • Ability to accurately administer medications, treatments, and monitor resident conditions
  • Strong documentation skills, including electronic health records and MARs/TARs
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members, residents, and families
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures and safety standards
  • Ability to supervise and collaborate with Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs)
  • Critical thinking and prompt decision-making in fast-paced environments

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with wound care, including use of wound vacs
  • Knowledge of gastrostomy/jejunostomy feedings and oxygen therapy procedures
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to medication storage and documentation
  • Prior experience working in rural or remote healthcare settings
  • Bilingual skills to facilitate communication with diverse populations

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in good standing
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in long-term care or similar setting
  • Prior supervisory or team-leading experience is a plus

Other Requirements:
  • Own reliable transportation, as the facility is located 2 hours from Boston in a rural area with limited public transportation and housing options
  • Ability to start on 06/16/2026, with availability to work scheduled shifts
  • Willingness to adhere to state and federal regulations regarding medication and resident care
