Required Skills:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with board certification or eligibility in Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Proven experience managing high-risk pregnancies and performing procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling
• Strong knowledge of obstetric ultrasound and fetal assessment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication skills and compassionate patient care approach
• Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically EPIC and Viewpoint

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with complex obstetric cases and genetic counseling
• Additional certifications in fetal therapy or ultrasound specialties
• Familiarity with hospital-based inpatient and outpatient obstetrics workflows

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Fellowship training in Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Minimum of 2+ years of clinical experience in a high-risk obstetrics setting
• Prior locum or temporary coverage experience is a plus

Other Requirements:

• Active medical license in Virginia or the ability to obtain one
• Willingness to commit to scheduled service dates and credentialing process (anticipated within 90 days)
• Must be comfortable working in a collaborative environment alongside advanced practice providers and support staff
• Willing to travel for coverage assignments, with expenses reimbursed including flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage
