Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week
Rate: $2,984/40 hours
Required qualifications
- Active RN license (MA or compact as applicable)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN required; MSN preferred)
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
- Several years of Emergency Department clinical experience
- Prior leadership/management experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
- Manage staffing and scheduling; conduct performance evaluations and coaching
- Monitor patient flow, throughput, and departmental performance metrics
- Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Act as clinical leader and resource for ED nursing staff; collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership
- Oversee budgetary considerations, supply management, and resource allocation
