Compensation: $18-$20/hour

Job Description:

Our client is hiring Entry-Level Ophthalmic Technicians to support physicians and clinical staff in delivering high-quality eye care services. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment - no prior ophthalmology experience required.

In this role, you'll work closely with patients throughout their visit, assist with diagnostic testing, prepare patients for exams, and support providers during treatments and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect patient medical histories and accurately enter information into electronic medical records
  • Perform preliminary vision screenings and assist with patient intake processes
  • Capture diagnostic imaging and prepare exam rooms for patient appointments
  • Support physicians during in-office procedures and treatments
  • Provide a welcoming, supportive experience for patients during their visit
  • Travel to satellite clinic locations as needed during the workday with paid travel time provided
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinic protocols and procedures
  • Assist with maintaining clean, organized clinical workspaces

Qualifications:

  • Previous Medical Assistant background
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused mindset
  • Comfortable learning new systems, medical terminology, and clinical procedures
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate electronic systems
  • Reliable transportation and a valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record required
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply
