Required Skills:
  • Proven experience with upper and lower scope procedures
  • Current NY State Medical License
  • Board Certification in Gastroenterology
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical practice
  • Proficiency in diagnostic testing including colonoscopies and endoscopies
  • Valid AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills for patient record management

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with EPIC electronic charting system
  • Experience in managing complex gastrointestinal cases such as Crohn s disease and cancers
  • Additional certifications in advanced endoscopic procedures
  • knowledge of hospital protocols and multidisciplinary team collaboration

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • At least 2 years of recent practice in a comparable clinical setting
  • Board-certified in Gastroenterology
  • NY State Medical License in good standing

Other Requirements:
  • Availability for 24-hour call coverage (including weekends)
  • Flexibility to work scheduled office and procedure hours (Monday-Friday)
  • Compliance with dress code, hygiene, and safety policies
  • Reliable transportation for travel to different unit areas if required
  • Ability to handle high-acuity adult patients with diverse medical needs
  • Must leave cell phones in lockers during work hours; call-in notice within 2 hours required for scheduling adjustments
  • Good professional demeanor with excellent communication skills

This position offers an hourly pay rate of $2,964.00, with weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits, paid sick leave, and reimbursement for licensure, certifications, travel, and related expenses. Our dedicated 24/7 support team ensures your success throughout your assignment.
