Position Overview: Apparent Technologies is looking for an Engineering Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD software skills, a background in mechanical design, and experience with metal manufacturing processes. This role involves creating detailed manufacturing drawings and CAD models, supporting the engineering team, and resolving production issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create accurate and detailed manufacturing drawings and CAD models.
- Use SolidWorks CAD software to design components and systems.
- Collaborate with the engineering team on mechanical component design, prototype builds and fixture design.
- Address immediate production issues and work with management to develop long-term solutions.
- Maintain familiarity with drawing standards, formatting, and dimensioning.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software.
- Knowledge of component and system design.
- Familiarity with drawing standards, formatting, and dimensioning.
- Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with CAD modeling and assembly drawings.
- Experience converting 3D models to 2D prints using CAD software.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience with 3D CAD software.
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing line experience (preferably in the semiconductor industry).
Desirable Skills:
- CMM experience (preferred but not required).
- Experience with welding and/or machining equipment.
- Passion for designing and building mechanical systems.
