Job Summary Under general direction, the HVAC Controls Lead Systems Specialist serves as the on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete projects with assigned customers in a safe and cost-effective manner. This role oversees hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning, and project closeout. The Project Manager is responsible for overall project financial results, customer satisfaction, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities Le ad project execution, including hardware design, programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and closeout Manage project financials, including costs, billings, and collections, ensuring profitability and positive cash flow Actively pursue and sell change orders to expand project scope Coordinate communication with customers throughout all project phases and ensure warranty execution Provide work direction to subcontractors, installers, technicians, designers, and administrative staff Ensure compliance with Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements and applicable local, state, and federal regulations Adhere to and enforce safety standards for Client Controls staff and subcontractors Manage material selection, ordering, and delivery schedules, including vendor and subcontractor coordination Oversee jobsite coordination for panel and field device locations, ensuring installation meets standards and requirements Validate system functionality, resolve issues, and provide accurate as-built and commissioning documentation Coach and mentor technicians, installers, and designers, ensuring delegated tasks are completed accurately and on time Provide site-specific training for owners/operators and deliver proper documentation/manuals for system operation Develop and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants, and subcontractors Required Qualifications Tec hnical Associate's degree with two years of field experience OR equivalent related field experience Hands-on experience in Building Automation Systems design and commissioning Appropriate licensing, certifications, and relevant technical expertise Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong personal computer skills Knowledge of project accounting, costing principles, and contractin g preferred Preferred Qualifications (if any) Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field Prior experience managing HVAC controls projects in a leadership capacity Certifications (if any) Relevant HVAC or Building Automation certifications (preferred) Education: Associate's Degree Certification: Building Automation certifications
