JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician III to support and maintain production tools in a wafer manufacturing environment. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can work in a fast-paced cleanroom setting, ensuring equipment reliability, uptime, and adherence to safety and quality standards while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment using established procedures and OJT Document all maintenance activities accurately in tool logbooks and CMMS Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment to identify root causes and improve reliability Support Tool Owners and Equipment Engineers in optimizing tool performance and uptime Maintain detailed records including PM checklists, spare parts usage, and maintenance history Continuously enhance technical skills through training and certifications Follow cleanroom protocols and safety standards while ensuring high-quality workmanship Assist in failure analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Strong electro-mechanical aptitude with hands-on maintenance experience Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods (12-hour shifts) Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules Basic understanding of electrical safety and operational theory Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment (Photo, Thin Films, Plating, Etch, CMP) Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings Knowledge of control systems and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) Familiarity with failure analysis, root cause analysis, and repair documentation Experience using digital voltmeters (DVMs) and standard mechanical tools Entry-level experience in equipment maintenance or related field Technical background in electronics, mechanical systems, or semiconductor industry CERTIFICATIONS Technical degree in Electronics or related field ASE Certified Mechanic (preferred) Relevant military electro/mechanical training (preferred) Education: Associate's Degree
