Quad Packaging is seeking a Quality Service Representative to join our growing team in Salt Lake City, UT! This role will work on our 8-hour day shift (6am-2pm) This is your opportunity to enhance your skills working with the industry's most advanced Packaging Equipment. This role includes travel for initial trainingin Franklin, WI and Spartanburg, SC. Employees can be expected to be paid an hourly rate of $18 - $22.00 /hour, based on variations in knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions.
General Purpose of Job:
The Quality Service Representative provides hands on quality support within manufacturing operations to ensure printed and bound products meet customer and company quality standards. This role partners closely with production teams on the plant floor to evaluate product, document quality practices, and communicate quality results to manufacturing and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Support, monitor, and document quality practices within printing and binding operations.
Partner with manufacturing teams on the production floor to provide hands on evaluation of product quality.
Inspect printed and bound materials to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
Measure product quality attributes and communicate results to manufacturing and business partners.
Identify quality issues and escalate concerns to appropriate personnel for resolution.
Assist with maintaining quality documentation and records related to production processes.
Use measuring tools and basic math skills to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
Support continuous improvement efforts related to quality performance.
Maintain a detail oriented, quality focused approach while working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Comply with all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Perform additional quality or manufacturing support duties as assigned
Experience:
Manufacturing experience highly preferred.
Printing, binding, or quality control experience preferred but not required.
Willingness and ability to learn on the job.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and self motivation.
Ability to use basic math skills, including reading rulers and understanding measurements in decimals and fractions.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook and other standard applications.
Ability to evaluate product quality and communicate findings clearly.
Ability to work effectively with manufacturing teams on the production floor.
Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
