Job Description

LHH is seeking a Commercial Litigation / Bankruptcy Legal Assistant to support a busy and fast-paced practice. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and enjoys working closely with attorneys, clients, and creditors.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys handling commercial litigation and bankruptcy matters
  • Assist with state and federal court filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines
  • Prepare, revise, and format legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings
  • Manage and maintain case files, both electronic and physical
  • Coordinate communications with clients, creditors, courts, and outside parties
  • Handle receivership-related tasks, including oversight of multiple bank accounts
  • Review, coordinate, and process invoices and ongoing billing for receivership estates
  • Manage calendars, schedule hearings and meetings, and track critical deadlines
  • Prioritize competing tasks and adapt quickly in a high-volume environment
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of legal assistant or legal administrative experience, preferably in commercial litigation
  • Familiarity with state and federal court procedures required
  • Bankruptcy experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Financial aptitude, including experience handling billing or account coordination
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism
  • Ability to interact confidently with clients and creditors
