Data Entry / Accounts Payable Specialist

Contract-to-Hire Remote (Hybrid Training) Troy, MI

LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a client located in Troy, MI who is seeking a Data Entry / Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity, with conversion to Direct Hire after approximately 3 months.

This role is primarily remote, with one week of on-site training at the start and one on-site day per month thereafter.

Compensation: $20-21/hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately enter high-volume data related to accounts payable transactions
  • Process vendor invoices, match invoices to purchase orders, and ensure proper approvals
  • Review data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal procedures
  • Assist with basic AP functions including invoice coding and expense allocation
  • Communicate with internal teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain organized electronic records and documentation
  • Support the accounting team with additional administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in data entry and/or accounts payable
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage repetitive tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (Excel or accounting systems preferred)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
