LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a well-established law firm in Midtown Nashville with a confidential search for an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal. This is a permanent, onsite opportunity for a career paralegal who brings strong title and survey experience and thrives in a fast-moving, high-expectation transactional practice.
This role supports a senior attorney whose practice centers on commercial real estate and corporate transactions, including work for investors, developers, and business owners across multiple jurisdictions.
About the Role
This is a hands-on paralegal position that blends substantive transactional work with administrative support. The successful candidate will fully own commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing, operating with a high degree of independence and accountability. Candidates should have 5+ years of Commercial Real Estate experience at a U.S. law firm. There is no billable-hour requirement, but strong organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail are essential.
This position is fully onsite. While there may be potential for limited flexibility after the first year of employment, daily on-site presence is required and expected.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support commercial real estate and related corporate transactions from inception through closing
- Review and analyze commercial title commitments, surveys, and related exception documents
- Coordinate and track due diligence materials, deadlines, and transaction deliverables
- Communicate with title companies, lenders, and counterparties to resolve title or survey issues
- Prepare and organize closing documentation and execution materials
- Assist with signing and closing logistics, including notarization
- Manage post-closing requirements such as recordings, disbursements, and closing sets
- Support entity-related work, including formations, amendments, annual filings, and record maintenance
- Conduct jurisdictional research related to entities, property records, UCCs, and certificates
- Maintain accurate electronic files, calendars, and transaction checklists
- Communicate professionally with clients, counsel, and third-party vendors
- Assist with billing coordination and basic financial or matter-related reporting as needed
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of recent, hands-on experience supporting multi-jurisdictional commercial real estate transactions
- Demonstrated commercial title and survey review experience is required
- Law firm background supporting corporate governance and transactional work
- Experience managing closings and post-closing processes
- Comfort leading matters independently with minimal hand-holding
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational ability
- Proficiency working in a Mac-based environment and with Google Workspace
- Notary commission (or ability to obtain promptly)
- This role is not suited for candidates seeking a stepping-stone position, law school, or bar admission.
Compensation & Schedule:
- Target salary range: $75,000 to $85,000, with flexibility up to $100,000 for exceptional experience and tenure
- Eligible for discretionary annual bonus
- Standard schedule: 8-hour day
- Minimal overtime, though flexibility is required during closings
- No billable hour requirement
