JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Material Handler (Inventory Management Support) is responsible for shipping, receiving, packaging, and movement of materials within the facility. This role ensures accurate inventory handling, shipment tracking, and compliance with operational procedures while working with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities: Package and prepare shipments internally or coordinate with external packing vendors Coordinate with internal teams and external freight/shipping providers Generate shipping labels and documentation for materials and finished goods Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders Enter and track inventory transactions in ERP systems Identify discrepancies and manage hold processes for incorrect shipments Load, unload, and move materials using manual and powered equipment Transport materials to designated areas such as storage or inspection Perform visual inspections for damage and ensure quality standards Attach labels, tags, and maintain proper identification of materials Operate pallet jacks, hoists, or industrial trucks for material handling Maintain shipment records and track deliveries Ensure safe handling of materials and maintain clean work environment Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED with 6+ years of relevant experience OR 2+ years post-secondary education with 2+ years of related experience Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes Experience with ERP systems for inventory tracking. Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Proficiency with hand tools and material handling equipment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to obtain a DOD Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Government property handling experience Experience with freight coordination and logistics operations Certifications: Pallet jack / material handling equipment experience (required) Education: High School
