Job Description

JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a Scientist III to support the development of protein biotherapeutics through protein purification and analytical characterization. This role involves designing and executing purification processes, analyzing protein attributes and stability, and contributing to research efforts in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is a strong analytical thinker with problem-solving skills, capable of managing multiple projects and driving scientific innovation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Design, plan, and execute protein purification using chromatography methods such as affinity capture, SEC, CEX, AEX, MMC, and HIC • Perform analytical techniques to assess protein purity, stability, and quality (e.g., HPLC-SEC, SDS-PAGE, CGE, DLS) • Analyze and interpret assay and production data to understand protein characteristics and physicochemical properties • Troubleshoot complex purification systems and support process development • Evaluate new technologies and process improvements to enhance productivity and consistency • Conduct purification assessments and present findings to cross-functional teams • Develop and implement novel analytical methodologies • Contribute to broader research in protein biochemistry, structure, stability, and function • Provide purification and biochemical support to other research teams • Improve data quality and workflow efficiency using automation and analysis tools • Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of experiments and results REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Master's degree with 3+ years of experience OR Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in a relevant scientific discipline • Strong understanding of protein purification and analytical techniques • Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques • Knowledge of DNA and molecular biology fundamentals • Ability to apply scientific principles and troubleshoot complex problems • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience with automation or high-throughput (HTP) antibody expression systems • Experience working with plate-based formats (24-well, 96-well) Education: Masters Degree
