PREREQUISITES:
This will include specialized training in working with chemicals, waste-water treatment, and machines associated with this area of operation. College education desired but not a prerequisite. Familiarity with Microsoft Office will help as this job requires working with spreadsheets and other computerized functions.
The test will include computer knowledge and a variety of mathematical problem solving.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six to twelve months related experience and/or training.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to loud continuous noise, moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Detect quantity discrepancies, defective material, unusual conditions or operating difficulties and report to proper supervision. Will complete data transactions where necessary. Perform changing lubrication, cleaning and maintenance of equipment when necessary. Will maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times. A working knowledge of all job-related Quality Management System operating procedures and work instructions is required.
All safety guidelines must be followed. Wear and maintain all safety equipment and clothing. Understand and apply proper handling of related plating chemicals. Report any and all problems to supervision.
