Are you a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) passionate about making a difference in children s lives? We are seeking a dedicated Temp LVN/LPN to provide exceptional nursing care within our vibrant Behavioral Health setting. What You ll Do: - Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in a behavioral health setting.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Utilize the nursing process to address complex health needs and promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise Medical Health Workers (MHWs), ensuring safe and therapeutic care delivery.
- Support stabilization, medication management, and health education for children experiencing psychiatric and co-occurring disorders.
- Adapt to floating across all units to meet patient needs effectively.
Required Skills: - Valid LVN/LPN license in good standing.
- Prior experience working with children in a behavioral health or pediatric setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to float seamlessly between units and handle diverse patient care needs.
- Knowledge of mental health protocols, medication administration, and safety procedures.
Nice to Have Skills: - Experience with co-occurring disorders and substance use treatment.
- Additional certifications such as CPR, First Aid, or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Bilingual abilities or experience working with diverse populations.
Preferred Education and Experience: - Practical nursing diploma or equivalent from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of pediatric behavioral health nursing experience.
Other Requirements: - Must be available to start on 05/11/2026; no exceptions.
- Willingness to float across all units as needed.
- Candidates living within 35 miles of the facility are subject to a rate adjustment effective 6/24/2024; please include address or driver s license details in submissions.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work scheduled hours, including potential shifts.
