Overview:
The Retail Team Lead supports the daily operations of retail locations within the park by supervising team members, ensuring excellent guest service, and driving sales performance. This role acts as a key point of contact between management and frontline staff, helping create a positive shopping experience for all guests.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities - Lead, coach, and motivate retail team members to deliver outstanding guest service
- Assist with daily store operations including opening/closing procedures
- Monitor sales performance and encourage upselling and promotional participation
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained and displays are appealing
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and escalations in a professional manner
- Train new team members on policies, procedures, and POS systems
- Maintain inventory accuracy, restock merchandise, and report discrepancies
- Enforce company policies, safety standards, and loss prevention procedures
- Support management with scheduling, task delegation, and performance feedback
Qualifications:
Qualifications - Previous retail or customer service experience required
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements - Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25-40 pounds
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred Skills - Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
