As a Med Surg Nurse, you'll be the cornerstone of patient recovery and well-being, providing high-quality, compassionate care to diverse patient populations. This position involves 12-hour shifts, with day and night rotations, every other weekend, and holiday responsibilities. Flexibility to float to Skilled Nursing and OB (postpartum) units is required. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, utilizing your assessment and critical thinking skills to recognize subtle changes in patient conditions and respond promptly. Required Skills: Valid RN license with current state licensure Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills Proficiency in medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care Excellent communication and documentation abilities Ability to manage multiple patients efficiently in a fast-paced setting Nice to Have Skills: Experience with admissions, discharges, and patient education IV certification and prior Med Surg experience Experience in OB or Skilled Nursing settings Preferred Education and Experience: New graduate RNs (with or without BSN) are welcome; base pay starts at $27.75 RNs with a BSN and more experience start at $29.25 Previous Med Surg experience is advantageous but not mandatory Other Requirements: BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications obtainable within 6 months through SWMC Willingness to obtain required certifications if not already held Relocation bonus up to $2,500 with proof of expenses Minimal jewelry; visible face/body piercings outside traditional earrings and small nose studs are not permitted during shifts This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to excellence in patient care.
