Indirect Tax Manager

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Indirect Tax Manager with our client in their Bay Area location. This is a 4 month + and hybrid remote contract position. This position requires 1 day onsite and possibly more if needed. This role offers a hybrid work option, meaning you can both work from home and commute to a client office, depending on what's best for you and when it is important for your team to be together. This role supports NAMER indirect tax operations, with a focus on tax compliance and customer support. It also contributes to tax system enhancements and cross-functional tax initiatives. Responsibilities: Review and respond to customer tax support cases - invoice/contract inquiries, exemption certificate reviews, and tax determination in accordance with applicable tax regulations Review U.S. and Canada indirect tax return filings and workpapers, and related journal entries, and manage related payments Prepare monthly account reconciliations for sales & use tax and other non-income tax accounts to ensure accuracy Assist with property tax process, including gathering and validating property tax data, reviewing prepared returns and filing timely Support tax system initiatives by validating tax logic, reviewing test results and contributing to overall program management. Assist with special tax projects and initiatives as required Requirements: 6+ years of experience in US indirect tax 6+ years of experience with compliance, journal entries and reconciliations Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
