Location Manager

Position Description: This position will work closely with the Director of Feed and Agronomy. This Location Manager is responsible for accuracy and efficiency in all bookkeeping, accounting and customer service needs, including but not limited to; processing, data entry, balancing, reconciling, cash register operations (POS), generating sales, merchandising, signage, pricing, loss prevention, record keeping, problem solving, reporting, clerical tasks, customer inquiry, manage employee schedules and trouble shoot scheduling conflicts as arise and store housekeeping, cleanup of gasoline or fuel spills at fueling station, fill propane cylinders, operate forklift. This is a safety sensitive position and will require a negative drug test.


Responsibilities: This position has supervisory responsibilities. This position requires the ability to perform a combination of the following duties during 95% of work day/shift. Although exact duties may vary from day to day, our business and staffing model make it essential to be able to perform all of the following duties accurately, efficiently and safely on a regular basis.

  • Develops and demonstrates knowledge and understanding of all bookkeeping, accounting (including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and the General Ledger) and customer service functions of the company.
  • Executes the checks and balances as directed by external auditors and the management team.
  • Displays the ability to make good judgments quickly.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Coordinate day to day operations, focusing on service, distribution and storage according to Federal, State and Company policies.
  • Ensure liquid products and services are provided to customers in a safe, efficient, and customer-oriented manner, consistent with Company policies, as well as with Federal and State Regulations.
  • Employ in the most efficient and effective manner, personnel, equipment, inventory and services.
  • Make sure all company assets are protected, including cash and merchandise.
  • Ensure that store appearance reflects company expectations and standards and that the store is a safe shopping environment, as well as a safe work environment.
  • Ensure that all cash handling procedures are followed, and that cash is only kept in the safe and the register.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

This person should have prior or current experience managing/supervising operations employees and preferably in a company or cooperative setting. Strong understanding and knowledge in agronomy and grain operations is a must.
