The Pet Emergency and Specialty Center of Marin () is looking for a Full Time Client Service Coordinator to join our weekend overnight emergency department! This is a Full Time position working Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7PM-730AM. This position comes with a $4/hour differential, and a $1000 Sign on Bonus for the right candidate!

About the Job: This is a unique position that blends both patient care and client service. The CSC is responsible for a variety of daily tasks and skills such as but not limited to: initiating a client-check-in on the patients coming into the ER, triaging those who need immediate care and providing an appropriate wait time for those who are less critical and/or stable, creating estimates for treatments and diagnostics and ensuring these are executed by the nursing team, calling back owners with medical questions, filling prescriptions, and acting as a liaison between the nursing staff in the treatment area and the client service representatives in the front of house.

This is a position that requires an ability to: multi-task, give direction to others, effectively communicate to doctors, staff, and clients, and to self-direct. While this position does not require any veterinary technical skills, having a comfortable understanding of veterinary medicine is important.

Skills and Qualifications:

Cultivate a positive atmosphere, demonstrate a friendly and courteous attitude with all coworkers throughout the hospital in order to maintain a cohesive work team
Maintain excellent communication skills in order to ensure professionalism and effectiveness in all interactions with clients and coworkers throughout the hospital
Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate
Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills including learning our current software platforms: Ezyvet and Smartflow
Must be organized and detail oriented to ensure efficiency and accuracy in all transactions
Able work in high stress situations and exercise good judgment as needed
Present a neat, well-groomed appearance
Must be available to work nights and occasional weekends as needed
