Full Time for Molecular Diagnostics


Summary:

Plans, coordinates and directs the daily activities of the personnel in assigned sections.

Responsibilities:

1. Provides expert technical assistance.

2. Directs training of the section personnel.

3. Assigns, schedules, reviews, and evaluates technical personnel to ensure the validity and accuracy of test results.

4. Provides effective leadership for laboratory and hospital policies and procedures.

5. In conjunction with the medical/scientific director, establishes and/or maintains appropriate quality control and quality assurance programs.

6. Maintains standards that meet or exceed standards of accrediting agencies.

7. Performs Med Tech duties as required.

Technical Expertise

1. Leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills needed for interaction with all members of the healthcare team

Education and Experience

1. Baccalaureate degree with certification at the Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist level by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or eligible.

2. Minimum two (2) years previous experience performing high complexity testing.
