Position Summary:

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager for our Fresh Protein and Specialty Food Procurement Group. The role is responsible for the planning and execution of contracting initiatives that result in successful contracts that support the needs of our customers. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing several key supplier relationships specific to a chosen food commodity category. This role will include but not be limited to: vetting new suppliers and products, researching, assessing and reporting on key cost drivers that influence the associated category, assessing and optimizing competitive tension within the supplier community, and developing contracts with key supplier-partners that have been identified as sources for products needed within the Aramark Enterprise. The Manager will oversee a portfolio of contracts in which s/he will ensure the supplier meets their contract commitments and that customers' needs are being met.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the needs of the Enterprise are met specific to the product and supplier portfolio that is managed

Implements all aspects of client Development teams and / or key client and customer stakeholders for initiatives, i.e., identify the correct participants, solicit input at the appropriate times, run meetings, etc

Report out to the SVP of Supply Chain / GPO and the SVP of Sourcing the results of Primary Sourcing Events, RFPs, Category Strategies, and Cost Management Efforts. Run Business Reviews for Key Suppliers presenting to Senior Aramark Leadership Team

Author Initiative Strategy Worksheets (ISWs) by thoughtfully planning initiatives; manages annual plan by creating realistic timelines and meeting milestones, communicates initiative status; leads effective supplier negotiation and pricing strategy development efforts which integrates Avendra's principles and value proposition

Research and provide guidance to the Enterprise and key client stakeholders on cost metrics specific to supplier / product portfolio

Lead Business Ownership activity for his/her portfolio of contracts

Build and maintain supplier relationships; hold suppliers accountable to deliver contractual commitments

Update and manage supplier information on Enterprise systems associated with pricing, products, Quality Assurance, and other needed data

Role Requirements:

Knowledge of selected categories or ability to develop knowledge of new categories

Strong negotiation skills

Solid business judgment

Strong technical sourcing process knowledge

Ability to conduct analysis required during a sourcing initiative

Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills

Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers

Ability to perform analysis and interpret results into actionable steps

Ability to manage multiple initiatives at once

Strong attention to detail and process orientation

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Qualifications:
Years of Relevant Experience:

3-10 years of experience in business management (operational or management consulting) with an understanding of procurement, contracting, supply chain optimization and/or category management

Education Requirements:

BS/BA in relevant field or equivalent years' experience with education in supply chain, business, economics or related field highly desired
