Director of Finance / Controller

VERY COOL START UP IN THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY!! This is a GREAT opportunity for a high potential controller to get into a role that can quickly track to CFO.

The Director of Finance / Controller is a cross functional accounting/finance/operations role that will manage an established team, but also grow it with new members over the next year. It would be the #1 Finance/Accounting position, leading a 5-6 person team.

Finance duties include:

-Budgeting/Forecasting

-Preparing Financials

-Investor Reporting

-Managing the Treasury Functions

-Working with leadership on future real-estate investment strategies

Accounting Duties:

-Help streamline property accounting and reporting systems and tools

-Improve the monthly financial reporting process

-Lead coordination of external audits

-Manage, train, and mentor accounting staff

Qualifications for the Director of Finance / Controller

-CPA / CPA Candidate with a foundation in a audit a huge plus

-8+ years exp.

-recent real estate exp.

-Strong blend of finance/accounting exp.

-Strategic thinker

-Recent leadership experience (3+ direct reports including managing managers)
