- Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
- In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
- Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
- Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
- Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
- Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
- Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
- Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
- Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
- Take part in various department-wide initiatives
- Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
- Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Job Requirements:
•Minimum three years of experience as an analyst, project accountant, or administrator for a real estate investment firm, commercial bank, general contractor, title company, or other similar detail oriented exposure
•Strong experience in job cost accounting and financial modeling
•Exceptional analytical skills and written and verbal communication skills
•Familiarity with preparing sworn statements and construction loan draw packages
