Robert Half Legal is seeking Compliance Officers with a strong banking or finance background to join their team. They will serve as a testing specialist and partner with Quality Control and report to the Team Lead to ensure testing is being completed in an accurate, effective, efficient, and timely manner. The compliance officer will evaluate and test controls to assess the compliance of key controls in accordance with established testing methodology. Additionally, compliance officers will analyze and report findings in a clear, accurate and concise manner for presentation to the client. They will be expected to gain a working understanding of the Bank's operating model. This position requires self-starters with the ability to operate independently and manage multiple competing priorities under strict deadlines.

Job Requirements:
- Tech-savvy and able to work remote

- Strong contract review and summary skills

- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent work experience demonstrating testing, research and analytical skills.

- A strong background in banking and/or experience in auditing, risk management or control assessments (with relevant qualifications).

- Working knowledge of control testing, specifically design and operating effectiveness of controls, and experience adhering to testing standards/methodology (e.g., sampling and documenting results).

- 6 + years of consumer banking experience, 3+ years of audit experience or 2+ years of experience testing controls with a concentration in Bank operations, Compliance, Audit, Finance or business controls. The level of experience in this area will most likely direct for which level they will be assigned.

- Experience in topics such as Sarbanes-Oxley, Financial Statement controls testing, Consumer regulations, or assessing Liquidity and Capital Plan rules would be a plus.

- Working knowledge of various compliance banking regulations.
