Tasks:
- Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
- Follows written risk and compliance policies and procedures for business activities.
- Demonstrates knowledge of information governance practices and standards.
- Uses information architecture tools to include Infosphere Data Architect (IDA), Infosphere Governance Catalog (IGC), Infosphere Metadata Workbench to create information architecture deliverables
Applies intermediate knowledge to perform regular assessments of the health and maturity of information capabilities for a given domain. - Applies intermediate knowledge to identify new information capabilities needed to support existing business capabilities of a given business domain.
- Maintains the information capability repository with these identified needs.
- Participates in efforts to define the mission, goals, critical success factors, principles, and policies for information strategy and information architecture.
- Participates in building the business cases required to secure approval and funding for the Data and Analytical efforts.
- Applies intermediate knowledge to advise on the maintenance of a conceptual model supporting information capabilities for a given domain.
- Understands the end to end change impact by managing linkages from information capabilities to technical assets (operational + analytical).
- Maintains integrated logical data models to understand data and its interdependencies regardless of its usage pattern.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree in addition to the minimum years of work experience (8yrs total experience in lieu of a degree)
Minimum Experience:
- 4 years of experience in information or data architecture; or if Advanced degree, 2 years experience in information or data architecture.
- Previous experience with modern data architecture environments (Cloud, Hadoop, NoSQL, etc.).
- Proven ability to embrace new technologies of the future and operationalize these to deliver value (Data Virtualization, Cloud).
- Understand how to work with data analysis tools and leverage reporting and data analysis that molds the way user experiences are designed.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations.

Preferred Experience
- Knowledge and experience with the Property & Casualty business, Data, and/or Systems.
- Knowledge of Information Management Disciplines such as Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Governance.
- Knowledge of analytical environments and tools.
- Knowledge of Cloud Technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
