Job Description:

EHR/EMR Consultant

We are seeking EHR/EMR Business Analysts who will serve as a liaison between end-users, project team members and other Information Management resources while providing exemplary customer service and EHR/EMR application support in their assigned EHR/EMR module(s). Team members will help position Client as a center of excellence for application management services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases (e.g. design, build and testing) of small to medium size application projects including EHR/EMR software upgrades, adoption of new EHR/EMR functionality and/or significant enhancements to integrated workflows
  • Provide EHR/EMR product function expertise for the design, build, and testing for assigned EHR/EMR Care Inpatient module(s)
  • Collaborate with end users to design, scope, and build EHR/EMR enhancements and configure system build to resolve incidents in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Provide technical and or clinical consultation including application configuration. Review, analyze, and evaluate system needs to develop recommendations for customers
  • Develop, support, and maintain workflow documentation, test scripts and configuration guides for core pieces of application functionality
  • Perform daily monitoring of applications in production use; including 24/7 on call coverage as required
  • Work with trainers to develop and maintain application specific training curriculum and materials
  • Develop strong relationships with operational stakeholders, customers, and business partners

Required Qualifications:

Degree required Bachelor, or Master

  • 10 - 15 years of EHR/EMR Build Experience designing physician, nursing and ancillary workflows
  • Current / active EHR/EMR certification in one of the following: Epic or Cerner Certification in HL7/FHIR will be preferred. Experience designing physician, nursing, and ancillary workflows
  • Completed EHR/EMR CEE (Continued EHR/EMR Education) to maintain certifications, proficiencies, and badges
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to demonstrate and have a history of team management (informal or formal), cross-team communication and leadership skills
  • OpTime, Radiant experience and certifications are preferred in addition to Inpatient
  • Current certification in Epic or Cerner Inpatient Clinical Documentation and Case Management

  • In-depth knowledge of EHR/EMR and the full implementation lifecycle of EHR/EMR's suite of EMR applications

  • Demonstrate strong relationship management skills and ability to handle challenging interpersonal situations
