Large property management firm has multiple positions available at several of our communities. We are seeking qualified Maintenance Technicians for our apartment communities in Colorado Springs, CO. We are seeking individuals who are customer service-oriented, driven, and professional. Our firm was established in 1995 and currently manages over 4,000 apartment units. Under the general direction of the Property Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager, the Maintenance Technician will help oversee the effective operations of the community (see below for expected responsibilities).

RESPONSIBILITIES

MAINTENANCE

Complete make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager.

Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled

Carry cell phone as required for on-call maintenance

Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned

Complete grounds work as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager, which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas, and maintaining landscaping beds and other areas

Responsible for alerting the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that has taken place or that may occur

Complete payroll time sheets and mileage reimbursement and submit to Maintenance Supervisor as determined

Maintain a professional, courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees

Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State, and Federal guidelines

Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner

Follow established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Handbook

Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have Maintenance experience in basic trades; carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting

Automobile and auto insurance required

High School Diploma or GED

Successful completion of background check

Ability to work as a self-starter

Ability to communicate with fellow employees as well as tenants and outside vendors

This job requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
