Set up, operate, clean, and monitor production machinery and equipment following standard operating procedures.
Conduct routine inspections of products and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Identify and resolve operational issues, escalating significant concerns to supervisors as necessary.
Maintain accurate production records, including output quantities, downtime, and encountered issues, and complete required documentation such as logs, inspection reports, and incident reports.
Follow all safety protocols, maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas, and adhere to good housekeeping practices.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Properly handle, store, and label raw materials and finished products to maintain organization and inventory accuracy.
Report to work on time, adhere to the schedule, and maintain reliable attendance.
Provide support across all Medford departments, including saw operations, extrusion molding, and shipping/receiving, when not engaged in manufacturing.
Assist with monthly inventory counts and stock control processes.
Help train and onboard new staff members.
Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production goals and foster positive relationships across departments.
Communicate courteously and professionally with colleagues to promote a cohesive and supportive work environment.
Develop and manage the production schedule, ensuring timely communication with Customer Service to align with order requirements.

The physical requirements of this position include standing for more than 5.5 hours per day, walking for more than 5 hours per day, and sitting for over 1 hour per day. Operating a forklift requires approximately 0.5 hours daily. The role involves frequent overhead and forward reaching, as well as climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, stooping, twisting, and exposure to high heat. Manual dexterity and the ability to perform position changes are essential. Tasks may also include pushing and pulling with both arms and legs.
The ability to lift and carry various weights is required, including items ranging from 5-10 pounds to over 50 pounds. Employees must wear protective equipment as necessary and perform repetitive motions. Physical endurance, attention to detail, problem-solving, memory recall, communication, and adaptability are critical for success in this role. Sensory requirements include hearing, depth perception, and visual acuity, with some tasks requiring color vision.
