Thoracic Surgery OpportunityLocation: Cooperstown, NYBoard Certified l Board Eligible in Thoracic Surgery•Perform thoracic surgeries, including minimally invasive and complex procedures•Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the chest and thoracic cavity•Collaborate with surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, pulmonologists, and other specialists on comprehensive treatment plans•Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care•Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and educational programs for medical students and General Surgery residents•Educate patients and families about treatment options and recovery processes•Use advanced surgical technology including Da Vinci Xi robotic system•Call for thoracic patients shared with General Surgeons on nights and weekends•Participate in multi-disciplinary tumor board discussions and ACS CoC-accredited programsRequirements•Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution•Completed General Surgery residency and Thoracic or Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship•Board certification or eligibility in Thoracic Surgery•Valid New York State medical license•Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills•Familiarity with advanced imaging and diagnostic tools•Commitment to patient-centered care and professional developmentCompensation & Incentives•Base salary: $550,000-$650,000•Sign-on bonus: Up to $100,000•Paid time off: 22 business days, plus 10 CME days, 4 personal days, and $4,500 CME allowance•Relocation support: transition bonus and full onboarding programBenefits•Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance•Malpractice coverage including tail•Retirement plan: 403(b) with employer match and age-based contributions•Opportunities for research, teaching, mentoring, leadership programs, and professional growth•EMR: Epic system for streamlined patient care•Supportive and collaborative work environment
